We are seeking to appoint, at the level of Associate Professor of Practice or Professor of Practice, an outstanding leader with extensive experience in Executive Education. As leader of the School’s Executive Education team, you will be responsible for the effective operation and development of our Executive Education programs, and play a central role in developing our future strategy for Executive Education.
In this role you will:
- provide academic and commercial leadership in the co-design and delivery of commercial executive education programs
- lead and manage the financial performance of the Executive Education portfolio
- identify, and pursue opportunities to develop offerings which further enhance the University of Sydney’s regional and national reputation for high quality, innovative and challenging Executive Education
About you
Drawing on your recognised experience in the design and delivery of professional learning and development courses, your reputation as a thought leader and innovator in management education will enable you to develop deep relationships with new and existing clients.
You will be able to translate client needs into outstanding offerings delivered to an exceptional standard, bringing together the resources and expertise available in the Business School and the wider university. While the role has no direct involvement in the MBA programs, you will work with the MBA teams and others to identify subject matter experts and instructors. You will dynamically pursue new opportunities, such as stackable micro-credentials, and have the drive to follow through such initiatives to completion. Often working to tight deadlines and demanding client groups, you will demonstrate your commitment to providing an excellent product to an agreed specification.
Term and remuneration
The successful candidate will be offered a 5-year fixed-term position on a full-time basis, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Relocation assistance may be provided if required, however, visa sponsorship is only available for this position for candidates who are currently located within Australia.
