It’s been an adventure getting here, but MLB spring training 2022 has finally arrived.
Major League Baseball and the players association have settled their differences enough to end the lockout and allow the Cactus League to get underway, albeit later than normal.
Spring training also will be a bit shorter this year — teams will play 17 to 22 games in Arizona, down from the usual 30 — between March 17 and April 5. Opening day is April 7.
